The murder of six million Jews isn’t an estimate produced by counting one room, camp or collection of belongings. It’s documented through Nazi records, deportation lists, demographic studies, surviving witnesses and evidence from killing sites across Europe.
Jews were murdered in gas chambers, mass shootings and countless other acts of deliberate violence. Many also died from starvation and disease because Nazi Germany intentionally imprisoned them under lethal conditions. Describing those deaths as ordinary illness is like classifying a shooting victim’s cause of death as sudden blood loss.
